Who tf is Colton Fox?
Colton Fox is a strange Canadian that hates hockey, hiking, and the cold, because of this he has had a lot of time to sit indoors and think about comics.
Colton Fox began his comics career when he moved out of the forest and into the big city. There, he started doing really bad comics for his campus newspaper before becoming involved in Toronto comic anthologies, conventions, and art shows. He later enrolled in Ty Templeton's Comic Book Bootcamp where he learned how to make really good comics from the wizard himself.
Since then, Colton Fox has worked as a garment printer, graphic designer, writer, storyboard artist, glassblower, landscaper, production assistant, cartoonist, actor, gallery artist, illustrator, teacher and magician: but his favourite achievements have been creating comics.
His comic Witch Hazel with Beige Blum was awarded Best Independent Canadian Comic of 2022 by Sequential Magazine and his story What Happens At Midnight is featured in the anthology Failure to Launch by Iron Circus. He regularly contributes comics to the community newspaper The Skeleton Press and is cooking up even more great comics as we speak!
Colton’s artwork, comics and beard are all heavily featured in the queer coming-of-age film Erin’s Guide To Kissing Girls. It is available to watch online at lots of places!
Colton regularly hosts comic workshops and courses in Kingston, Ontario. Follow his blog or contact to find out when he is teaching next!
